The Amazon.com Digital Video Games Team and the App Developer Services Team invite you to join them for a Video Game Tournament paired with drinks food and fun! In addition to being a great networking opportunity, there will be a chance for you to “Go to battle with the ultimate roster of 50 Capcom and Marvel heroes and villains, including every character from the original game and 12 new fighters.” This invitation is purely social: a chance to meet and chat but more importantly, a chance to play together. New gamers and experienced players welcome!

A little background might help you get the ides a of what this is about…
Historically this has been a monthly happy hour for internal Amazon employees of the Appstore and Video Games group (which is 90% developers)- it is a forum where internal employees of those teams eat, drink and play gamesjust for fun. But now that Amazon is actually making it’s own games we have realized how much we want to extend the invitation to other developers and peers in the industry to build community/outreach betterhence the invite.
There is no speaker or announcement, so this is a purely fun event to mix and mingle with the other Amazon Video Games developers.. and it’s built around the video game tournament (they rotate the game every month). So to answer your question directly, the audience will be developers but the forum will be ‘players’ (with beer and snacks!).
So optional if you want to post itbut it really is meant to be ‘fun’.
